There is something very exciting about receiving a hamper for Christmas, you open the lid to find all sorts of goodies that you might not buy for yourself, but are delicious treats. The one downside is that they can be expensive. When I was asked to review the Seasonal Luxuries Basket from Viking, I was delighted to see that it contained items that had won Gold Medal Taste Awards and was reasonably priced. At £39.99 this is perfect as a corporate or personal gift.
The Basket contains a good mix of products, a bottle of Merlot, a jar of marmalade made with 10 year old whisky and these crispy coated chilli nuts and mustard and onion biscuits.
In addition there’s a number of sweet treats too, Great Taste Gold 2010 awarded chocolate fudge in a brown paper wrapper looking as authentic as it tasted.
Great Taste gold award buttery demerara sugar sprinkled shortbread and finally, chocolate covered caramels in a clear bag tied with ribbon.
Viking sent me a hamper to review, I was not obliged to post a review and all views are my own.
