I’m off on a fabulous fun filled weekend to Ontario Canada. I will only get to see a very small part of what this wonderful Province has to offer, but it’s a fantastic fun filled itinerary. Ever since I was a small child flicking through the grainy pictures in my Pear’s Encyclopaedia, I’ve wanted to see the wonder of the Niagara Falls. From everything I’ve heard it has to be experienced and experience it I will on the first full day of my trip. #ExperienceCanada
I arrive on Friday late afternoon and we’re straight off to explore with Anna and Michael Olson, who are our hosts for the weekend. They will be showing us their foodie Niagara On The Lake and Toronto. You will remember Anna Olson from Bake With Anna Olson on Food Network UK. This includes, what promises to be, a fantastic dinner at their home with barbecue and baking for breakfast the next morning. I love the sound of Peach Blueberry Sticky Buns and Maple Walnut Scones.
We will also be visiting some of the local vineyards and sampling the delicious varieties. With four distinct soil types and climates in the area, the wines have varied characteristics. I’m looking forward to understanding the differences and trying Ice Wine for the first time at Inniskillin Winery.
We end our fabulous weekend with a trip to Chinatown in Toronto for Dim Sum. Follow my adventures on instagram and twitter using #explorecanada and those of my fellow bloggers: Karen from Lavender and Lovage who is going coast to coast, Jeanne from Cooksister, Anna from The Foodie Traveller and Kavey from Kavey Eats who is in Canada already #kaveyeatscanada.
I will be the guest of the Canadian Tourism Commission and the Ontario tourism office. All my flights, transfers, trips, accommodation and meals, including our special cookery session with Anna and Michael Olson are included.
